Decorative boards

Decorative panels and decorative boards made of plywood or MDF surface-coated with polyester resin are used mainly in furniture and wall surfaces.

Compositions of major products

Decorative Polyester board

Generally referred to as "poly" or "poly boards," these are made by applying polyester resin to a board consisting of deco paper pasted together with plywood and MDF. Film is then applied and a roller is used to stretch out the resin and harden it.
Poly boards do not have surfaces which are as strong as that of high pressure laminates, but they do offer excellent cost-performance.

Plywood sheet

It is comprised of substrate such as plywood and MDF with deco paper pasted on top. The characteristics differ depending on the type of deco paper being used.
